Building projects, learning new tools, and growing as a developer.
I am from Cedar Falls, Iowa and I’m a student at Hawkeye Community College in Waterloo, IA. I am working toward an associates degree in Web and Mobile Game Development. I plan to graduate in the Summer of 2026. I do have an academic goal that I want to achieve. I’ve always been fascinated by technology, especially through video games, and I hope this education helps me explore that world again. Another goal is to memorize a solid portion of the tags we use in programming.
Outside of classes and working on projects, I enjoy biking, playing board games, and card games with my wife along with playing table-top role-playing games like Dungeons and Dragons with friends online and in person.
Some of my favorite projects that taught me valuable coding lesso.
This project is not completed yet. This project has taught me on how to use programming logic in a differnet ways and grown my overall Javascript knowledge. It has helped me develop my debugging skills and patience.
One of my top projects is my first PHP Project. Its a concept site of how to tracK, manage, and market certin aspects of my wifes paper crafting bsiness. This project helped me learn about how to connect databases to a web app and the basic use of PHP.
My most fun project is my Web Scripting game project. I learned a lot about properly linking files to one another and how to structure them. I also learned about setting reasonable timeline goals for bigger projects.
This Marvel project was a fun learning experience. I learned a lot about how to use JS effects. It was aslo part of a group so I was able to get more experience with working in a group.
This project helped me learn multiple things.I got to learn how APIs work with this PHP API project. I also learned how to change url data.
I have experience with these languages and tools:
My current plan is to gain experience as a developer or something else in a similar related role. I’ve worked in restaurants and manufacturing, but I’m ready to move on. I hope to use my degree to find a job in this field that I can be a great asset for many years.
